Flood Response in Nepal
Our local leaders are on the ground, working with churches and communities as needs continue to unfold.
Severe flooding and landslides in Nepal have devastated communities, damaged churches, displaced families, and left many grieving. The situation is still unfolding, and the full extent of the damage is not yet clear. We are staying in close contact with our leaders on the ground as they continue to assess what communities are facing and where help is needed most. The devastation is widespread, and conditions are still changing.
We will continue sharing updates as our leaders on the ground learn more and identify where support can make the greatest difference.
What Our Team Is Doing
Some of our team members are already on the ground assessing needs and offering practical support. Others are serving in holding centers, while our director is traveling into affected areas to listen, help, and determine what comes next. The response is being led locally—person to person. We have the opportunity to come alongside in this time of need.
Why We Are Responding
Our local team in Nepal knows the churches and communities affected by this disaster personally. While Words of Hope is not primarily a disaster relief organization, we are able to respond through our local leaders as needs become clear. Because Words of Hope has nonprofit status in Nepal, we are able to send resources directly to our Nepali team so they can respond where help is needed most.
